Johannesburg - Eskom has the capacity to meet the current electricity demand, it said on Monday.
"The power system is constrained, but stable," spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said.
"We have enough generator capacity to meet the demand."
Earlier on Monday Eskom said there is a 50% probability of load shedding after a weekend of stage 2 load shedding across the country.

Phasiwe said if the power utility lost a unit or if demand increased, rolling power cuts would need to be implemented.
"But so far we are able to meet the demand."
On Sunday, Eskom ended stage two rolling power cuts around 22:00.
It warned the power system would be under "severe pressure" over the coming week.
Koeberg power station's Unit 1 will be shut down for a scheduled refuelling, inspection and maintenance outage. The unit is expected to return back to service at the end of May.
