Johannesburg - Eskom was hopeful late on Monday morning that it would not have to implement load shedding for the day, and possibly not even for the rest of the week.
That is if all goes well of course, spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe told Fin24 on Monday morning.
"Currently it is our aspiration not to have load shedding for Monday and the rest of the week," he said.
"But at some point we might have to revise our situation if something unexpected happens."
By late Monday morning Phasiwe described the power system as relatively stable and "if it remains (so), then it is likely that we can go through Monday without load shedding".
