Sydney- One of Australia's leading atomic scientists said on Monday the country could make billions of dollars by hosting nuclear waste dumps, a report said.
The state of South Australia could benefit in particular, Ziggy Switkowski, former chairman of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, said in a radio interview on national broadcaster ABC.
The state, home to one of the world's largest uranium deposits, is to set up a commission that will look into future opportunities in the nuclear industry.
