In terms of the National Credit Act the credit providers must ensure that the information at the credit bureaus are true and correct.
They have to update the payment records in order to ensure correctness.
Any judgments/defaults may remain on your name until the debt/arrears is settled in full.
If they are not updating the payment history you may approach the NCR for assistance.
