New CEO for Cape Town Tourism

Cape Town – The tourism industry is of great importance, not only for the economy in the Western Cape, but for South Africa in general.

That makes the role to be played by Enver Duminy, newly appointed CEO of Cape Town Tourism, crucial for growth in the local industry.

Fin24 reported last week that Duminy will take over from Mariëtte du Toit-Helmbold from August 1.

Carin Smith spoke to Duminy in order to find out more about him, his vision for Cape Town Tourism and the tourism industry in general. In a telephonic interview he discusses how he sees the current state of the tourism industry, its challenges and opportunities.
