Johannesburg - A mine worker died underground at a mine near Utrecht in KwaZulu-Natal, Emergency Medical Services said on Wednesday.

The accident happened at around 05:00, but its cause and exactly what happened was still unknown, said spokesperson Robert Mckenzie.
