Keaton makes record Eskom coal deliveries

Johannesburg - Keaton Energy Holdings' [JSE:KEH] subsidiary Keaton Mining delivered 154‚041 tonnes of coal from its Vanggatfontein mine to Eskom in July 2012‚ a new record.

This new production record is a stunning achievement by the operations team‚ coming in the month when Liviero Mining took over the mining at Vanggatfontein following the termination of Megacube Mining's contract‚" said Mandi Glad‚ Keaton Energy's Operations Director.

Rowan Karstel‚ Keaton Energy's newly appointed CEO‚ added: "Vanggatfontein performed superbly during July despite operational challenges‚ and we expect more records to follow. With an equally strong and consistent performance at our KZN anthracite operations‚ we have a strong base from which to grow our company."
