Hisense fridge wins Product of the Year award

Mar 08 2018 16:10

Cape Town - The Hisense French Door Fridge has won the 2018 Product of The Year award, in the Home Appliances category.

The annual awards gala of the independent consumer-voted survey was held at The Maslow Hotel in Sandton recently.

Winning the award for the second year running, Hisense fridges are "proudly South African", manufactured in the Chinese multinational’s local factory in Atlantis in the Western Cape.

Ryan Curling, Hisense SA’s marketing deputy executive, said this is not just recognition for the brand, but for every South African in the assembly line at its factory.

"We’re proud that our high quality products - and the hard work that goes into making them – are recognised,” he said.

"The Hisense brand continues to make great strides in the South African market by winning consumers over with its locally manufactured innovation. The new Hisense French Door Fridge won thanks to its great design coupled with inverter technology that ensures consumers are able to save on their electricity usage," says Preetesh Sewraj, CEO and chief innovation analyst at Product of the Year South Africa.
