Johannesburg - A fire broke out at packaging company Astrapak's [JSE:APK] East Rand Plastics facility in Brakpan on Tuesday afternoon‚ the company said in a statement.
“Whilst it is too early to fully assess the damage or impact of the fire we can confirm that both production and supply will be affected. As far as we can establish‚ there have been no injuries‚” it said.
The company will issue a further statement in this regard once it has had the opportunity to fully assess the situation.
Astrapak’s share price closed up 9 cents‚ or 1.26% at 721 cents on the JSE.
