Johannesburg - Private hospital group, Mediclinic International will list on the Namibian Stock Exchange with effect from Tuesday December 2 2014.
This is a secondary listing for the company, with its primary listing remaining on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). It will trade under the share code “MCI” on the Namibian bourse.
“Through this additional listing, we are seeking to enhance our investor footprint in addition to further fostering and growing relationships with our Namibian shareholders,” said Danie Meintjes, CEO: Mediclinic International.
Founded in 1983, Mediclinic International currently operates 79 hospitals and clinics in Southern Africa, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, and has been trading shares on the JSE since 1986.
Its three Namibian hospitals - located in Windhoek, Swakopmund and Otjiwarongo - form part of the hospital network operated by the company’s regional platform, Mediclinic Southern Africa.
