Julian Beare emerges tops as Grindrod makes board announcements

Julian Beare was announced as independent non-executive chair of Grindrod Bank on Monday afternoon.

Grindrod Bank announced the appointment of Beare and others amongst changes to its board through a Sens announcement.

The bank is currently working on key projects, including assisting Cash Paymaster Services and the South African Post Office with the payment of grant beneficiaries in the South African Social Security Agency and its electronic platforms.

"Grindrod Bank is pleased to announce that Mr Julian Beare has been appointed as independent non-executive chairman of Grindrod Bank with effect from 1 November 2018.

"The previous interim chair, Mike Hankinson, remains on the board of Grindrod Bank as a non-executive director and on the board of Grindrod Limited as executive chairman," said the company in a Sens announcement.
