FSB warns public over unregistered financial services firm

Jul 15 2016 16:02

Cape Town - The Financial Services Board (FSB) on Friday issued a warning regarding doing business with Olmen Finance Services.

The entity is using another company’s FSP number and has been not been authorised to do so, said the FSB.

“Olmen Finance Services is not an authorised financial services provider and the public is warned to exercise caution when dealing with this entity,” the FSB said in a statement.

“It has been brought to the Registrar’s attention that the entity purports to have been issued with the FSP Number 45823 belonging to Andiset (Pty) Ltd trading as All Things Financial.

“The Registrar authorised Andiset (Pty) Ltd trading as All Things Financial with FSP Number 45823 to conduct business as a financial services provider on 07 April 2015.

“The FSB can confirm that Andiset (Pty) Ltd trading as All Things Financial is not associated or linked to Olmen Finance Services and is, therefore, not authorised to use the FSP number 45823.”

The FSB said people should phone 0800110 443 or visit www.fsb.co.za to check whether institutions or people are authorised to render financial services.
