Johannesburg - Shareholders are informed that the Barclays Africa group chair Wendy Lucas-Bull has been appointed as a non-executive director of Barclays Plc and Barclays Bank Plc with effect from September 19 2013.
Trevor Munday has been appointed lead independent director on the board of Barclays Africa group effective from September 19 2013. Munday was appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director in 2007 and is currently chair of the group risk and capital management committee and the concentration risk committee.
He is also a member of the group audit and compliance committee, group remuneration and human resources committee and the board finance committee.
He currently also chairs the board of Reunert, is the lead independent director of Life Healthcare Group and a board member of Illovo Sugar.
