Equities remain suspended, Abil cautions

Johannesburg - Investors of African Bank are advised that the curatorship of the bank and the restructuring initiatives in respect of African Bank Investments [JSE:Abil] remain ongoing.

"During this time, trading in both the debt securities of the bank and the equity securities of Abil will remain suspended," according to a Sens report issued on Monday.

"Further to the cautionary announcements released on Sens on July 7 2014 and August 11 2014, Investors are. therefore, advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in the debt securities of the bank and the equity securities of Abil, until a detailed announcement is made."

Tom Winterboer of PwC was appointed as curator of African Bank on August 10 2014 to manage the affairs of the bank.
