Cape Town - Cobus Kellermann and David Cosgrove of Belvedere Management are hitting back over reports that they are at the centre of a giant alleged Ponzi scheme, serving a letter of demand on independent journalist and publisher Alec Hogg.
Fin24 understands a lawyer's letter has been served on Hogg, who followed up an exposé of investigative journalist David Marchant of OffshoreAlert on the scheme run by South Africans Kellermann and Cosgrove out of Mauritius. The letter apparently demands a full retraction of each alleged defamatory statement.
Should Hogg, who ran his own series of articles on his BizNews website, not be willing to do this, he is asked to provide substantiated evidence regarding the published claims.
