Johannesburg - Poultry producer Country Bird Holdings [JSE:CBH] on Tuesday posted a 45% drop in diluted headline earnings per share in the six months to December 2011 to 17.84 cents, from 32.71c in the prior comparable period.
Revenue was up 14% to R1.61bn while operating profit dropped 31% to R77.9m, affected by a nine-week strike at Supreme Poultry's Botshabelo plant during July, August and September.
