Johannesburg - Agricultural services group Afgri [JSE:AFR] said on Tuesday that it has revised its purchase price for Rossgro Chickens downwards from R228m to R220m.
The transaction became unconditional on January 28.
The deal with Rossgro Chickens includes the purchase of the Rossgro abattoir and its assets.
"Purchasing Rossgro Chickens is a strategic move for Afgri. By increasing our abattoir capacity we will be able to slaughter, according to our intended goal, more than a million chickens per week," said Afgri CEO Chris Venter.
