But even though he won’t be in Davos, Buffett wouldn’t need to make many calls to get an inside report on proceedings. His buddy and one of Berkshire’s directors is Microsoft founder Bill Gates, an institution in Davos having attended the event for a decade and a half. But even he hasn’t yet been able to convince his online bridge partner to make January trip to the Swiss Alps. But with the world coming around to Buffett’s way of thinking, who knows, perhaps he’ll decide to come himself some time? He certainly wouldn’t be lonely.
