Nonhle Thema, once one of South Africa's most popular stars, lost it all when the pressures of being a first-generation "It Girl" spilt over into what many at the time referred to as a Twitter meltdown. 

"At 29, I'm worth 10 million bucks. Lol. To all my haters. Eat dust y'all.." reads one of the X (formerly Twitter) posts shared by Thema in June 2011.

"I made over 10 million rands as the face of Dark and Lovely," reads another. Thema, who got her big break on Channel O's O-Access, later moved to VUZU's V Entertainment and was soon the first SA star to have her own reality show: Nonhle Goes to Hollywood
