Sharks lock Eben Etzebeth said lifting the Challenge Cup was by far his best club rugby memory as he finally added franchise silverware to his glittering collection.
The Sharks, in beating Gloucester 36-22 in Friday's Challenge Cup final in London, became the first South African team to win a European Professional Club Rugby tournament. The victory also meant Etzebeth won his first major piece of franchise silverware.
In his time with the Stormers, the Cape franchise never came close to winning Super Rugby, while his stint at Toulon was curtailed by injuries.
