BoA to pay US govt $713m

Charlotte, North Carolina - Bank of America Corp says its board has authorised roughly $713m in dividend payments to the US government under the troubled asset relief program.

The company also said on Thursday that its board also authorized dividends on nearly 20 preferred stocks.
