Machel, Mbeki, Haffajee at women's summit

Pretoria - Guests began arriving at Freedom Park in Pretoria for the Young Women in Dialogue conference on Sunday morning.

The event, which will explore themes around violence against women, the future of women in Africa and female empowerment, was attended by wife of former president Thabo Mbeki, Zanele Mbeki.

Wife of former president Nelson Mandela, Graca Machel, and City Press editor Ferial Haffajee will be among the speakers.

The event was organised by the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the City of Tshwane.
