Cape Town - Smartphones boast of their functionality over older models, but for Reshigan Moodley, his Samsung Note was less useful than a notebook.
Responding to an article by another user whose smartphone dream turned into a nightmare,Moodley told Fin24 of his issue with the premium device:
With regards to your article on the Sony smartphone, I am having a huge issue with Samsung.
I received a new Galaxy Note 3 approximately 8 months ago and from day 1 have been having signal issues. For most of the day I get no signal. First I assumed that it must be a service provider problem.
However if I placed it next to my wife's iPhone (we are both on Vodacom) the Note doesn't pick up a signal whereas the iPhone does.
I have taken it to both Vodacom and Samsung, and both have told me there are no problems with the phone.
I have resorted to going back to using my iPhone 4S, and the Note 3 is now just a white elephant.
