Johannesburg - The rAge expo currently taking place in Johannesburg has drawn throngs of gamers and cosplay enthusiasts to the biggest gaming exhibition in South Africa.
Scores of attendees clad in their favourite character costumes, players in for all-night gaming sessions and exhibitors made their way to the Dome at the Northgate Mall for the three-day event set to last until Sunday.
Gerrit Nothnagel, gamer at the all-night LAN (local area network) section at the expo, said he had no time to sleep while gaming.
“When I get tired while I am gaming, all I do is just keep on playing,” he told Fin24.
While many in the LAN section chose to game throughout the day, others opted to nap between sessions and the hall was littered by sleeping bags and blow-up mattresses.
rAge is seen as the country’s biggest annual video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture exhibition.
Over the course of the event attendees are able to purchase games, consoles and computers, as well as test out the latest technology in the gaming industry.
