Cape Town - Pokémon Go creators have hinted at new and hidden features within the smash-hit app which has since seen a decrease in users.
Niantic, makers of the augmented-reality location-based game, have this week announced that a daily bonus feature would be rolling out in the new version of the app for iOS and Android.
The move marks the latest bid to attempt to keep interest in the game.

“The daily bonuses reward you with XP and Stardust for your first catch of the day, and XP and extra items for your first Photo Disc spin of the day at a PokéStop,” a statement on their website read.

To celebrate the features Niantic said that trainers would be able to find more Pokémon out in the world.

“PokéStops will grant more items! Yes — this means more Great Balls, and for Trainers that are level 20 and above — more Ultra Balls!” the statement went further to say.
Meanwhile, The Silph Road - a network of Pokémon Go trainers online - has published new features expected in the next update of the app on their website.
A team of developers managed to decipher details of the update within the v0.45.0 APK Android app.
100 new Pokémon were referenced in the game’s code: “Pokedex #152 (Chikorita) to #251 (Celebi)”, meaning that Niantic could feature second generation creatures in the next update.
On the app's site the statement read: "Pokémon Go is in the process of being updated to version 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 for iOS devices."
