Johannesburg - South Africa’s biggest fixed-line phone company Telkom says its open access fibre network will reach 25 more areas.
The company said its network would reach these areas by the end of September 2015.
The announcement comes after Telkom said earlier this month that it wants its fibre network to be accessible by one million homes in 2018.
Regarding Telkom’s latest fibre broadband roll out then, a spokesperson for the company told Fin24 that once the areas are connected by the end of September, residents can access the network and choose their own internet service provider.
