Berlin - Owners of MacBook Air machines manufactured between mid 2013 and mid 2014 can now download an update from Apple to fix a battery problem that had, in some cases, run down the charge of batteries even if the laptop was off.
Dubbed MacBook Air SMC Update v2.0, it requires the OS X operating system Mavericks 10.9.2 for the update to work, although more recent operating systems like OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 or newer can also process it.
MacBook Air models made since the end of April are free of the problem.
