Cape Town - Geoff Cohen, general manager of 24.com, Media24's digital division, has resigned after eight years in the hot seat.
Media24 announced on Friday that Cohen would leave the company at the end of September to pursue his own interests in the digital space.
Media24 CEO Esmaré Weideman said Cohen has grown 24.com into the biggest digital media platform in South Africa, and Media24’s job classifieds site Careers24 into a market leader.
“We want to thank him sincerely for his contribution and dedicated service and wish him everything of the best," said Weideman.
Cohen thanked Media24 for the opportunity to be part of a great team at 24.com, doing fantastic things digital in Africa. "My time here has been filled with learnings and opportunity and I look forward to seeing the digital businesses continue to grow from strength to strength, in what is a highly exciting and furiously competitive time."
New appointments to head up Media24’s digital businesses will be announced shortly.
