Cape Town – South African iPhone fans will soon be able to get their hands on the latest handset from Apple.
MTN and Vodacom have announced that the iPhone SE will be launched in the country on April 14 after opening orders for the smartphone on Tuesday.
MTN opened its online pre-registration for Apple’s latest device. However, local pricing at this stage is unclear.
Meanwhile, Vodacom has said it will also stock the handset.
“We can confirm that we will range the iPhone SE. We will launch the device on April 14 and it will be available on all our stores from this date,” Byron Kennedy, executive head of media relations at Vodacom, told Fin24.
“Pricing for the device has not been finalised at this point,” he added.

After launching the SE in the US, Apple said that the phone will retail for $399 (R6 050) in its roll-out plan.
