The initial announcement from the iStore, though, didn't contain any pricing details for the smartwatch.
But Core Group - which is the official distributor for Apple products in South Africa - has late on Friday revealed recommended pricing for the Apple Watch devices. This means that pricing may differ among stores and that these prices are guidelines.
The announcement from Core Group also came after the iStore said the new Apple iPhone 6s range would go on sale in SA on October 16.
