INFOGRAPHIC: How Hlaudi Motsoeneng is coining it

Cape Town - Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s salary increased from R334 000 in 2010 when he worked as a radio producer to R4 198 000 in 2016 as the SABC's chief operating officer.

In 2016 Motsoeneng's basic salary amounted to R2 555 000. R945 000 was allocated for expenses and allowances.

Contributions to pension fund and medical aid was R485 000, with R213 000 for a 13th cheque and commissions.

The SABC reported a R411m net loss for the 2015/2016 financial year, an increase from the previous year. In the 2014/2015 financial year, it reported a R395m loss.
