Cape Town - UK firm Interalloys Trading plans to ramp up production at its Rooinekke iron-ore mine near Griekwastad in the Northern Cape.
This follows the announcement of investments of $50m (about R675m) in the Northern Cape between 2017 and 2019.
The move to invest $50m and create 150 permanent positions in Griekwastad by Interalloys Trading, together with black-owned business partner Onicaster, is poised to benefit the local community because about 100 of the posts will be from this community, according to a statement by Interalloys.
