A Fin24 user B.K. shares how problems at Ellerine impacted her life in a very negative way. She writes:
I am the disillusioned mother of two kids, who, on separating from my husband am plying a trade outside my comfort zone.
I have to rent a place to stay and had to suspend pre-school attendance for my younger child. Now I received a letter notifying me of the company's intention to retrench me.

This will also culminate in my domestic helper losing her job.
The whole situation is dire in any way one looks at it.
When I approached court to apply for maintenance for my children from my estranged husband (who has fathered a child with a concubine), my husband decided to resign from work to avoid the law-suit.
The enormous social impact this African Bank and Ellerine saga will have on the country cannot be imagined if anything can be deduced from just this one case - mine.
