Fin24 user Ike Jakson writes:

THIS is a pleasant duty.

I landed at Fin24 on the advice of a sister company operating from Johannesburg in the name of Progress Data Systems (generally called PDS) when I enquired about "intra-day" downloads of financial indicators.

PDS is a small but highly skilled and extremely well managed company, handling what is called “end of day” data of every share and unit trust registered on the JSE.

I have been with PDS for about 15 years and learned through the time that they are utterly 100% reliable for me, and I am sure a few other independents making our living on our own bits of dough on the JSE direct with an investor company and without assistance or advice from any other financial sources or so-called approved financial advisers that clutter the market with useless advice.

But PDS only handles "end of day" or JSE closing time results, including a "ticker tape" much like the one Fin24 runs at the top of the page, but in volatile markets such as the past year I was looking for "intra-day" updates of the market indicators.

Initially I had a real battle to get into the Fin24 Site and needed to make a few changes in my software; now I slip in like through butter.

After a while I slowly started reading some of the column headlines and this is the main reason for what I call credit due to Fin24.

You may not understand my entire point if you use someone else for advice and/or the investment in stocks and/or unit trusts but I would suggest even if you do, start reading the Fin24 headlines of all financial articles.

Don't go and jump into the JSE; just read these things and start "investing" without money on your home computer.

The article spread, the headline names and article summaries are so accurate and precise that you only have to read the entire article content if you want to.

Well done Fin24!

PS: With a smile, all we need to make your site 100% perfect is the JSE Gold Index in your front page "ticker tape". The entire market is in such a state right now that the addition of the intra-day JSE Gold Index will make me 100% independent of the rRadio too.

Besides, the radio isn't reliable in the first place.  Won’t you, PLEASE, ask Mister Wim at PDS how they do their market indicators; you could probably combine the two; after all, being sister companies you will be helping me, Fin24 and PDS.

Howzat for a suggestion?
