A going home tribute to our beloved Tata Madiba
We knew this day would come when we have to say goodbye;
We knew this day would forever change our country's destiny;
We knew it would unite us once again in song as it united us Tata when you first walked out of prison to lead your people to Freedom;
We knew it would hurt a lot of people when your journey home to our heavenly father, but nothing Tata prepared us for how much it would hurt.
Who will now watch over us and guide our path Tata?
You wept for so many, now so many weep for the passing of a fearless leader, one of the world's greatest African icon's that lived a life of immense service and sacrifice to mankind.
Tata you gave so much of yourself to us, your love will go on forever to reach and touch the hearts of many.
You going home Tata, may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Your legacy your immaculate values will be entrenched in our hearts, may we find the courage and strength as a nation to live a life you were prepared to die for so that all humanity can have the dignity and freedom you strived for.
Thank you Tata for being you.
Salute and our eternal respect Nelson Mandela - the father of our nation.
Rest well Tata. You done all you could to teach us love and compassion. It is now up to us to live your dream.
Our tomorrow's will never be the same again Tata for no one showed us how to stop hurting when we lose an angel.
