Fin24 user Mary-Ann writes that it is very bad to stay on a farm or small hodling during load shedding.
"Because of all the crime, it's an almost unthinkable
fear all the time, as no alarms work [during load shedding] and we are
not safe," she writes.
"Now we have the problem that, when Escom switches off the electricity, the pump does not work and the water in the tubes gets to a temperature of 125 degrees," she writes.
"Then we have to open the hot water tap to release the hot water. So, now we are wasting water, which in my mind is also a 'crime' as SA has a water shortage."
Lastly, Fin24 user Mario wonders why "spotlights" in informal settlements are kept buring even during the day time.
"Yes, we are all affected and asked to switch off appliances to save power. What beats me, however, are the overhead spotlights in informal settlements burning day and night throughout South Africa," he writes.
"How serious is Eskom about saving electricity?"
