Challenges faced by small businesses

Fin24 user Sean Hide explains what he regards as the biggest challenges for small businesses in the country. He writes:

For me the challenges a small business face are decision making, either lack of experience or the time it takes to make a decision.

The other issue is how many laws and regulations a business owner has to understand before he makes his first sale.

I've been told there are 32 regulations that a business has to follow.

Lastly there is the labour law. The policies of labour need to change so that it is easier to fire someone who is having a detrimental effect on the business.
