A Fin24 user, who recently had a policy pay-out seeks advice on how to invest it further, and says he is looking for an unbiased opinion on unit trusts.
He writes: I have been reading Fin24 for a long time now and have always had an interest and respect for finance. I have always had an interest in stocks and regularly follow what is happening, the ups and the downs. Now unfortunately I have a day job as a scientific researcher and I cannot follow the stock as intensely.
I recently had a policy pay-out and since I am still a young man I would like to invest it further. I have a friend who works as a financial analyst for a company who only takes minimum investments of R100k. He advised me however to look at flexible and worldwide equities as I cannot invest with them because I have about half of what their minimum requirement is (R50k).
