New York - US stocks rallied into a third day on Friday, sparked by the Federal Reserve's unexpectedly dovish interest rate policy, which has pushed the dollar down and boosted commodities.
Ten minutes into trade the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 86.29 points to 17 567.78.
The broad-based S&P 500 rose 0.41% to 2 048.88, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite gained 0.38% at 4 793.02.
Banks led the way with JPMorgan Chase up 2.65, Bank of America 2.0% and Citigroup 1.9%.
Aircraft builder Boeing added 2.2% and brewing giant AB Inbev also 2.2%.
