Hong Kong - Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session on Monday sharply lower following a recent rally, while Shanghai was hit by a sell-off in property firms as traders fret over plans to fight speculation in the real estate sector.
The Hang Seng Index shed 236.48 points, to 22 700.90.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 43.61 points, to 3 069.15 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 41.14 points, to 1 879.86.
