London - European stocks were little changed, trimming earlier gains, as losses in energy and mining shares offset an advance in consumer staples.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index added less than 0.1% at 12:56. Energy stocks extended a decline after oil dropped to the lowest in seven months amid a revival in output from Libya and rising volumes of fuel held in tankers.
Miners tracked copper prices lower.
