London - Europe's main stock market indices closed up on Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 rising 0.82% to 6 652.61 points.
In Paris, the CAC 40 closed 0.80% higher at 4 426.72 points, after rising 1.07% to its highest point since early September 2008, before the collapse of US investment bank Lehman Brothers triggered a global financial crisis.
Meanwhile the DAX 30 in Frankfurt gained 0.50% to 9 603.71 points.
