Paris - Europe's main stock markets in the eurozone surged at the close on Tuesday with the CAC 40 in Paris climbing 2.09% to 5 117.30 points, while the DAX 30 in Frankfurt soared 2.23% to 11 853.33 points.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index ended the day up 0.38% at 6 995.10 points, with gains tempered by news that British inflation fell into negative territory for the first time since 1960.
