New York - The Dow and S&P 500 Tuesday bolted to fresh records after Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen pledged a cautious approach to raising interest rates.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 92.35 points (0.51%) to 18 209.19, besting Friday's record by about 70 points, and the broad-based S&P 500 gained 5.82 (0.28%) at 2 115.48, inching up to a new all-time close.
The tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 7.15 (0.14%) to 4 968.12.
