Shanghai - Chinese shares fell in morning trade Tuesday as investors took profits after gains the previous day on strong credit growth, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.33%, or 7.06 points, to 2 128.35.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, shed 0.31%, or 3.61 points, to 1 156.78.
