Monday, rising 1.6% on a surge in gold producers that were lifted
by a higher bullion price, such as Gold Fields [JSE:GFI].
The benchmark Top 40 [JSE:J200] index touched a record of 37 904.33 passing a previous high set in May, while the broader All Share [JSE:J203] hit a record 42 331.62.
