Zagreb - This month's cut-off of Russian gas deliveries cost Croatian industry about $350m, the main grouping of Croatian employers said on Sunday.
"According to our estimates, the losses ranged between one percent and 10% of annual revenues, or between 30% and 80% of profits," said Djuro Popijac, head of the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP).
About a quarter of Croatian industries had reported losses, Popijac told national television.
The chemical industry was among the hardest, losing up to €350 000 daily, according to the HUP.
A dispute between Russia and Ukraine saw deliveries halted to Croatia on January 6. Croatia imports 40% of its gas from Moscow.
Last Tuesday, Zagreb called off a state of emergency after Russia finally restarted the deliveries.
