Mozambique economy to strengthen

Maputo - Mozambique's economy is expected to strengthen in 2010 but growth will probably remain below 6% until 2011, the International Monetary Fund said.

The fund said in a report dated July 16 that the country's external overall balance was projected to turn negative in 2009 before returning positive in 2011, stabilising external reserves around 3.4 months of imports.
