LARS REICHELT resigned from his post as CELL C CEO, citing personal reasons. During his two-and-a-half years at the helm of South Africa’s third mobile operator, Reichelt enabled Cell C to construct a mobile broadband network, rejuvenate its brand and lower mobile data prices. The Cell C board nominated Simon Duffy, chairman of the company, to serve as acting CEO until a successor is appointed. Reichelt says he’ll stay on for a time in an advisory role.
