Cape Town - After months of searching, the annual 2012
Sanlam/Business Partners Entrepreneur of the Year winners were announced on Thursday.
The awards, which honour excellence among SA's entrepreneurs,
were presented at a ceremony in Sandton on Thursday night.
The Entrepreneur of the Year winner for 2012 was William Duk
of Plantation Shutter Co, a business that designs, manufactures and
installs adjustable window and door shutters.
Jannie Rossouw, head of Sanlam Business Market, said William
was awarded the overall title because of his hard work, entrepreneurial spirit
and ability to transform a bankrupt entity into a thriving, profitable
business that services a national clientele.
Other winners included:
- Tabisa Nomnganga of Bravo Promotions, who won the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award
- Warren Graver of EnviroDeck, who received the Small Entrepreneur of the Year award
- Trevor Davids of Trevor Davids Plumbing, who was honoured with the Medium Entrepreneur of the Year award
- Madelé Ferreira of Mooihoek Boerder, who won the Job Creator of the Year accolade
- Stuart Forrest of Triggerfish Animation Studios, who walked away with the Innovator of the Year award.
